BREAKING IN : Turkey Offers to Serve as Mediator to Ease Global Food Crisis.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wants Ankara to become a re-exporter of Ukrainian goods, including grain, barley, oats and sunflower oil.
The country has stockpiles and merchant ships necessary for such an arrangement, Erdogan told reporters Friday.The Turkish leader says he will discuss this idea in the coming days with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts, Putin and Zelensky.
Erdogan adding that his govt wanted to ensure that a “
grain corridor starts working as soon as possible”.
