Why glaceirs are melting?
Th rise in the Earth's temperature as a result of climate change is leading glaciers to melt. The CO2(carbon dioxide) and CH4(methane) in the atmosphere absorbing more and more light from sun in glaciers. Mechanism work like this:
1st step: sun heater the Earth
2nd step: Earth absorbs some heat energy, small amount and reflects sunlight
3rd step: The CO2 and CH4 keeps the heat energy w9thin the atmosphere and makes Earth warm
4th step: Temperature increases and glaciers melt!
The glaciers' melting is ascending the sea level and dangerous the costal cities and population of islands.
Some of the world's most iconic glaciers are set to disappear by 2050, according to a new study by UNESCO, which highlights the accelerated melting of glaciers in World Heritage sites.
