Hindu devotees turned up in thousands to attend Ratha Yatra, also known as the Chariot Celebration in Puri, on Friday.
Sounds of gongs and cymbals reverberated in the air and devotees from across the country and abroad thronged the area around the Lion gate for a glimpse of the Hindu deities on the chariots.
